Coda Memorial Scholarship - This
scholarship is for any female student who
qualifies and plans to attend a college or
university outside the state of Utah.
Applicants must be residents of the state of
Utah, graduate from a high school in Utah,
demonstrate leadership abilities,
participate in extra-curricular activities,
be involved in community affairs, and show
proof of acceptance to a four-year college
or university outside the state of Utah.
Scholarship recipients will be selected on
the basis of current scholastic achievement
(3.8 or higher GPA, high ACT/SAT scores) and
community involvement, as well as personal
and professional goals. Applications are
available in the counseling center.
Deadline: March 1, 2012 (must be postmarked
by this date).
Dream
Weber Program- The Dream Weber
Program began in 2010 to provide free
tuition to students whose annual household
income was $25,000 or less. Now, beginning
fall semester 2012, the Dream Weber program
provides free tuition and general student
fees to students whose annual household
income is $27,000 or less. Application to
the program is a 4 step process: 1) Apply

Governor’s
Honors Academy (GHA) at Southern Utah
University- This opportunity is for
JUNIORS with a 3.75 GPA (ACT/SAT score
recommended). Students will be selected
based on excellence through academics,
leadership, extracurricular activities,
personal achievement, and community service.
Accepted applicants will attend a 10-day
Academy at SUU. Academy participants will be
given leadership and teamwork opportunities
and the chance to interact with leaders in
business, technology, humanities, science,
education, communication, and social
science. There is a cost associated with
attending GHA, but participants who attend
the entire Academy will receive 6 college
credits and a 4-year scholarship to Southern

USPE Joe
Rhoads Scholarship- The Utah Society
of Professional Engineers (USPE) will be
offering a $1000.00 scholarship for the
2012-2013 school year. Eligibility
requirements include: 1) U.S. Citizen 2)
high school senior living in Utah with a
3.75 or higher GPA 3) at least a 30 in math
and a 26 in English on the ACT 4) planning
to major in engineering at an ABET

Minority Disadvantaged Scholarship Program-
The AIA/AAF Disadvantaged Scholarship
provides assistance to high school
graduates, college freshmen, and community
college students form a minority and/or
financially disadvantaged background who
intend to pursue a NAAB-accredited
professional degree (5-year BA or BA + MA)
in Architecture. Up to five renewable
scholarships between $3000-$4000 will be

SpiRIT Writing Contest: this writing contest
is for 10th-12th grade students who are deaf

Teaching Incentive Loan Program -
The Teaching Incentive Loan (TIL) is funded
by the Utah State Legislature. TIL
recipients are required to pursue an
educator preparation program, obtain
educator licensing, and then teach in Utah
public schools for a period equal to the
time they received assistance. The TIL
consists of a waiver (of tuition and fees at
the Utah public institutions and $995.00 per
semester at private institutions) to be used
for a period not exceeding 8 semesters. The
program is jointly administered by the State
Board of Education and the State Board of
Regents. Selection criteria includes: high
school grade point average, ACT or SAT
scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field,
teaching-related experience, and an

Financial Literacy Scholarship-The
Utah Jump$tart Coalition for Personal
Financial Literacy (UJ$C) and the Utah
Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA)
are sponsoring four $1000 scholarships.
Applicant must: 1 be a Utah high school
senior at an accredited Utah school who has
successfully completed or is currently
enrolled in the financial literacy course
required for graduation and 2) plan to
pursue post-secondary education. Applicants
must: 1. Complete the application form

2. Complete the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov ).
3. Register for a FAFSA PIN (www.pin.ed.gov
). 4. Include proof of completing an
application to a post-secondary institution
and of being considered for admission.

The Utah
Association of Independent Insurance Agents
(UAIIA)- UAIIA is offering a minimum
of three scholarships ranging from $750 to
$1000 in 2012 to Utah high school seniors
who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and
are active in extra-curricular activities
through their school, church, community or
work. One scholarship will be awarded to a
student pursuing an insurance career, and
the others to students pursuing insurance or

Credit Union Scholarships-
Scholarship Accounts (basically a
savings account for members 17 and younger)-
For every $5 that is deposited in a
scholarship account, a ticket is generated
for a drawing for a scholarship. Jordan
Credit Union provides five (5) $1,000
scholarships, and one (1) grand prize
scholarship at $2,000. Memorial
Scholarship - Members who are seniors in
high school can fill out an application for
this $2,000 scholarship. The recipient is
determined by drawing. Drawings are held in
