FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the application that allows a student to apply for federal grants, loans, and work-study programs. All Utah colleges and universities accept the FAFSA to apply for federal financial aid. The application may be completed online at fafsa.gov. Make sure you are on the government’s official FAFSA site by going to fafsa.gov.

Financial Aid Estimator The Federal Student Aid Estimator provides an estimate of how much federal student aid the student may be eligible to receive. These estimates are based on the Student Aid Index (SAI), an index number used to determine federal student aid eligibility. 

FinAid is the site to learn all you need to know about financial aid. Paperwork is explained and there are even calculators to help you determine how much money you will need for college. Use FinAid as a resource as you navigate the world of financial aid.

StudentAid.gov provides straightforward and easy-to understand information about planning and paying for college. The site combines content and interactive tools from several ED websites.

NASFAA.org – the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators provides links to a list of grants and scholarships available by state.  It also tells of discounts offered to students who attend college in certain other states in the same region.
